We deem it as a privilege to introduce ourselves that we are one of the oldest WAREHOUSING owners having a valid STEVEDORING license in Visakhapatnam Port Authority (VPA) for more than 3 decades. M/s. EASTERN WAREHOUSE CORPORATION was established in 1993, has a full-fledged warehousing complex with 1,30,000 SQ FT covered Godown Space Area within the Port Exim Park Area which is capable of stacking 35000+ MT of bagged, cargo.
The Godown is situated within the proximity of the Port discharging points with 6 PORT RAILWAY SIDINGS within the range of 2km and National Highway No.16 3km away. In view of the excellent location M/s.
M/S EASTERN WAREHOUSE CORPN (EWC) has got a full- fledged equipment setup with huge man power for various Manual & Machinery Operations. We accept Storage & Handling of Import & Export bulk & bagged Cargo.
Promoters Background
Mr. B Thathayya Naidu, the Promoter, comes from a traditional business family with three generations of experience in Vizag Port. During the British-India period, my grandfather, Late B Yerra Sannilu, started a business in Vizag Port and acquired a piece of land nearer the dock area from Visakhapatnam Port on a 90-year lease agreement and started a Western type bar and restaurant. Following independence, the Government of India banned bar licenses in the Port Area, forcing the bar business to close.
Later, the 2nd Generation diversified into various business activities in port, such as Marine and General Engineering Contract Works, and also obtained a Ship Repairs License from Visakhapatnam Port to carry out Ship Repair Works for various Foreign going vessels and Coastal vessels arriving at Vizag Port. M/s. Shipping Corporation of India (A Government of India Enterprise) has been appointed as one of the authorized Work Shops to attend Ship Repair Works for vessels arriving at Vizag Port.
With the family business background, Mr. B Thathayya Naidu from the 3rd Generation who completed his Post Graduate Degree in commerce, 1987 batch from Andhra University has started Shipping, Clearing and Forwarding and Cargo Handling Contracts.
